Register with the National Ski Patrol as an "Associate Member" (not a candidate) by logging on to www.nsp.org and click on Member sign in and Create Account (Skip this step if you are already an NSP member and have a valid 6-digit NSP membership number and simply sign in with your Username and Password). Annual NSP membership dues are currently $100.00.
Note: First Time NSP registration after July 1, 2025 will be valid to the end of 2026. Registration with NSP prior to July 1, 2025 will only be valid to the end of this year.
Log out then log back in to the NSP site before going to step 4.

Register with NSP for this OEC class:
Log into nsp.org.
Step 5:
Order your Outdoor Emergency Care 6th Edition Textbook and starting reading before the start of class.

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A PATROLLER OR PATROLLERS FROM YOUR PATROL TO ASSIST IN MENTORING/HELPING IN YOUR CLASS. PLEASE IDENTIFY AND REPORT THE NAME OF THE PATROLLER/S THAT WILL ASSIST. THE IDENTIFIED PATROLLER/S WILL NEED TO BE AVAILABLE/WILLING TO ASSIST BUT MAY NOT NECESSARILY BE NEEDED. THEIR ASSISTANCE IS ONLY FOR THE PRACTICAL SESSIONS. I WILL CONFIRM WITH HIM/HER/THEM THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO ASSIST AND AVAILABLITY.

Log into nsp.org.
- Select Center for Learning in the upper right-hand corner.
- Select Browse Catalog.
- Once there, select Featured. You will see the Outdoor Emergency Care Hybrid course as an option.
- Select Add to Cart.
- To confirm purchase and get access, select the cart icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
- Select Secure Checkout to check out. Enter your billing and payment information to purchase the course. The course is $150 and can be paid for with a credit or debit card.
- Once payment is confirmed, go back to the homepage, and select Go to Your Learning Center.
- The Outdoor Emergency Care Hybrid course will appear in your list of current courses. Select Launch.
- Once the course is launched, read through the course introduction materials, which consist of What to Expect, the Course Player Instructions, and the skills session registration.
- Proceed to content by selecting the Next button. (Note that content can be accessed even if the skills session has not been selected.)
- To register for the Skills Session, select the last item in the Course Introduction titled Outdoor Emergency Care Hybrid - Skills Session.
- Select Register for Session.
- Select Choose Session.
- Scroll through the offerings or use the location drop-down to find the session. When you get to "Choosing Session" select Palisades. You should then see San Ramon
- Enroll in this skills session.
